High Schooler With Down Syndrome Scores 65-Yd Touchdown, Electrifies Entire Crowd.

You know those moments that take your breath away?  And then take the breath away from everyone around you? One of those moments happened recently in Walker County, Georgia at Ridgeland High School.

The scene: Ridgeland’s Seth McGee breaks out to score a 65-yard touchdown on the final play of the game. Everyone goes wild.   And it’s even more meaningful because the senior, McGee, has Down Syndrome.For three years McGee has been a key part of the Panthers program at Ridgeland High School. During the scrimmage between Dalton and Ridgeland, a great show of sportsmanship and class was exhibited by both teams.

As he raced down the field, the entire Panthers team ran with him as the opposing team tried to catch up with him for a tackle. When McGee crossed into the end zone there was a great celebration by both teams.

McGee is another shining example of the heart of a champion. True sportsmanship from the teams deserves admiration for this inspiring story.
