Cam Newton’s heart of gold shines like the sun both on and off the football field. His habit of handing over the game ball to kids–notably the young boy who had just lost his father to cancer–was recently one-upped after being caught in an act of kindness that will totally make your day.

Cam was driving through a neighborhood when he saw a bunch of kids playing football at recess. The Carolina Panthers QB noticed a young student on the playground wearing his jersey and was inspired to make the 7th grader’s day. Cam hopped the schoolyard fence and asked a teacher for permission to play with the kids, and that’s exactly what he did.
The student’s reactions were absolutely priceless.
Cam and the middle schoolers spent the rest of their recess hour throwing passes and running plays. Watching these kids light up with joy and excitement will totally make your day!
I hope that more athletes and role models decide to step up and invest in others the same way. What if we all took a moment to do something similar?
