25 year old Brent Folan of Fort Worth, Texas is a man on a mission– a mission to take as many seflies with Olympic athletes as possible– and he’s absolutely killing it! The Texas Christian University alum has gotten selfies with the Final Five, received an autograph from Serena Williams, and has even made it on TV a few times!

He’s done all of this during his down time while volunteering for the olympics. The Wall Street Journal as dubbed him the Forest Gump of the Olympic games. His Instagram is full to the brim with celebrity selfies, often with the hashtag #forestgumpofrio and #findfolan2016.
His pics are classic!
Brent has a Team USA onesie which he wears to many of the events he attends. It certainly makes him easy to spot in a crowd!
Still looking for @m_phelps00, so in the meantime I am watching @kassidycook13 dominate these prelims!!! #forrestgumpofrio #phelpsmeetfolan2016 #findfolan2016 A photo posted by Brent Folan (@brentfolan) on
Here he is videobombing Ally Reisman at a gymnastics event.
Bonus: She’s not an Olympian, but Brent did snag this selfie with former first-daughter Jenna Bush! Just a couple fellow Texans in Rio!

AND he got a picture with SNL cast member (and star of the new Ghostbusters reboot) Leslie Jones!
Ali Raisman’s parents have become celebrities after footage of their hilarious nerves went viral both at this Olympic games and at the games in London. So, of course, Brent had to grab a selfie with Dad!
Try as he may, Brent still hasn’t gotten to Michael Phelps. But… he did get Mama Phelps!
He was supposed to go home earlier this week, but fans of Brent’s Instagram weren’t ready for the selfies to end! Now he’s being sponsored to stay in Rio longer. Meaning more selfies and another chance to meet Phelps!
Says Folan of this whole experience: “As a sports fan, I don’t think I’ll ever top this Olympics. If they gave medals to fans, I think I would get a gold for this performance.”
We have to agree, Brent! That is one gold-medal fan.
