Bride Shows Card To Fiance’s Brain-Damaged Sister, Mom Starts Sobbing When She Looks Inside.

In 2011, a young woman named Jessica suffered a major car accident while driving home from a date. A tire burst on her car, causing the vehicle to roll three times. Jessica was thrown through the window and her brain was severely injured. At first, Jessica was left “minimally conscious,” but over the years she has made progress. Today Jessica is 28 and can smile, laugh, and follow people with her eyes.

Ever since Jessica’s accident, her family has been through quite a bit. She requires round-the-clock care, and it has no doubt been difficult on her family. But Jessica and her family are now celebrating a joyful time, as Jessica’s brother, Derrick, prepares to marry his girlfriend of two years, Nichole Sullivan.

As anyone who has ever planned a wedding knows, preparations can be stressful. But bride-to-be Nicole didn’t let the busyness distract her from the most important thing: family.

In the video below, she asks her future sister in law to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. The moment is truly beautiful.

Nicole includes her future mother-in-law, Lenore Torres, making the special moment a family affair. She hands Lenore the card that asks Jessica to be her bridesmaid. Lenore immediately burst into tears.

“I’ve seen my mother shed so many sad tears due to Jessie’s accident, and it was great to see some happy tears,” said Derrick. “Her being overwhelmed with emotions was priceless and a beautiful thing.”

Jessica responds to Nichole’s card with a big smile, undoubtedly a “yes.”
