Loving Security Guard Cries After Students’ Unforeseen Gift, Their Act Shows The True Spirit Of Christmas.

“It’s not about the money, it’s about how much we appreciate you”

Students from Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business wanted to thank a security guard, Marcus Burns, who always went the extra mile to make their days a little brighter. Their goal of raising $100 as a token of appreciation was noble… but in the end over 150 students showed the true meaning of the holiday spirit.

Conor Lange organized the fundraiser for Marcus. “He is the most positive person, he brings so much energy to us everyday,” said the senior business student. “He knows most of the students by name and we realized how many people loved him and we wanted to give back to him in the holiday season in the Christmas season,” said Lange.

In total, the students raised over $1,600 for a man that went out of his way to make their day, every day.

Here’s the Takeaway: Go out of your way to brighten someone’s day. Even if you’re never thanked, you  can be sure that you’re making a difference in the world.
