Dad Walks 5-Yr-Old To 1st Day Of Kindergarten. 13 Yrs Later, Their 2nd Photo Has Internet In Tears.

A pair of pictures recently went viral on Twitter that will make your heart melt from cuteness.

Jason Gayler in Alvord, Texas was going through photographs when he found a picture of him walking his five-year-old daughter, Brittany, to school on her first day of Kindergarten.

Now, 13 years after that original picture was taken, Brittany is about to graduate from Alvord High School.

When Jason found the Kindergarten photo, both he and Brittany decided that they needed to recreate the picture. So on Brittany’s last day of high school, Jason walked his daughter to school one last time.

Since Brittany posted the pictures, her Tweet has gone viral with almost 15k retweets and 64k likes.

“It brings me great joy if we were able to help people think back to that time, even if just for a brief moment, and smile,” Jason told Today. “I can hope that one day when I’m old I can look back at this and smile!”

Many people took to Twitter to respond to this incredibly sweet set of pictures:

While others were concerned that her father had not aged at all in 13 years:

But the best response was a suggestion for the future:

Brittany told BuzzFeed News that she is planning on leaving home in two months to attend college at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas where she will be playing on the softball team.

“I’ve always been so grateful that my parents have always been there for me,” she said to BuzzFeed.
