A Reddit user posted the photo below with the following caption: “We told our 3-yr-old that New Years is special because you get to toast to a new year. A few hours later she said “ARE WE GONNA MAKE TOAST NOW?!” And thus a New Year’s Day tradition was born.”

While others share a drink or a kiss at midnight, this family started the new year with toast, celebrating family and this adorable little girl’s simple misunderstanding. The look on her face is priceless.

“The fact that 5 adults took time out of their night to make it happen, instead of correcting her, is heart warming,” commented one user.

“That’s something we don’t see everyday, at least not in this genuine and spontaneous way,” added another. “I think that’s where true happiness lies, in living the moment with some lighthearted naivety. This really made my day.”
