Groom Springs From Newlywed Table When Mom Cries For Help, Rushes To Save Wedding Guest’s Life.

I recently got married and one consistent piece of wisdom I received was to be prepared for something to go wrong on my wedding day. It’s inevitable that someone will spill something on themselves, rip something by accident, or leave something important… my wedding day it was rain. I’m sure Cody and Kelly Campbell probably received the same advice that my wife and I did but they could’ve never predicted what would happen on the happiest day of their lives.

“If I’m ever in a position where I need a fireman to help me, I hope it’s you or I hope it’s someone like you.”

These were the almost prophetical words of one of the wedding guests giving a toast to Cody Campbell who is Los Angeles firefighter. Moments later Cody was going to be called to save a life at his own wedding reception.

While everyone was eating Cody heard a loud cry from his mother during his father’s toast – someone was choking on a piece of steak.

Cody sprung into action without hesitation to attempt to save the guest’s life with the Heimlich maneuver.

With amazing rescue skills, Cody was able to eject the steak and help the guest to breathe again. No hospital visit was needed and they were even able to enjoy the rest of the reception because of the groom’s fearless actions.

This bride and groom will never forget their wedding – the day they became one and the day Cody was able to save a life.

We’re thankful for brave firefighters who risk their lives to saves others every day!
