Little Girl Adopted This 3-Legged Kitten For The Most Heartwarming Reason

At just 3 months old, a kitten named Holly had already been through more than most. After being brought into the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus with traumatic injuries, she had to have one of her legs amputated.

Holly survived, but her future looked dim because now she was looking for a new home.

Everything changed, however, on Christmas Eve when a young family learned about the kitten. The Tipton family happened to be searching to adopt a kitten with special needs for a heartwarming reason.

Their 2-year-old daughter, Scarlette, is also a survivor.

She was diagnosed with cancer when she was just 10 months old. The only chance of completely getting rid of the disease was by amputating her left arm. So, you can see why little Holly would be the perfect companion to Scarlette!

From the moment they met, the two formed a connection. Scarlette could see and understand that the kitty had gone through the same procedures and only had three limbs, too. That’s why she kept pointing to her shoulders where her skin expanders were, saying “owies,” as her mother described ABC 7 Eyewitness News.

Now, the family is happier than ever with their new addition to the family. They have chosen to rename the kitten ‘Doc’ after Scarlette’s favorite television character and because “they’ve both had so many interactions with doctors,” according to her father Matthew Tipton.

Here’s the Takeaway: In life we all have struggles, and they’re all different. But what’s important is to remember that you are not alone in those hardships – never give up on that!
