Seattle Seakhawks’ quarterback Russell Wilson is on top of the world right now. After signing a four-year, $140 million contract extension with the team in April, he’s now the highest paid player in the NFL.

But the 30-year-old will never forget where he came from or who helped him become so successful. Wilson’s mother Tammy has supported and encouraged her son throughout his entire career, so for Mother’s Day, he packed all his love and gratitude into one seriously incredible gift.

A day later, Wilson uploaded footage of his mom’s surprise to Instagram with the caption, “All these years you have never asked me for anything… only thing you ever wanted is for me to LOVE. Well thanks for loving us the way you do. This one’s for you. I love you momma.”
In the video, we see Tammy, Wilson, his wife, Ciara, and other friends and family members approaching the front door of a seemingly random house. As they’re chatting, Wilson hands Tammy a set of keys. “What’s this?” she asks her son.
“It’s the key to your house,” Wilson answers, gesturing to the door. He repeats himself several times as Tammy stares, skeptical.

Then the shock hits Tammy as she processes what Wilson just said. “You lying. Are you serious?” she asks before screaming and laughing in delight. “No. Are you serious? For real?”

It takes a moment, but eventually, everyone there convinces Tammy that this is, indeed, real. And the look on her face after accepting that fact is absolutely priceless.

Understandably, it all becomes too much for the proud mom, who breaks down in tears. It’s not every day that your son buys you a brand-new house, after all!

But to Wilson and his family, it was worth every penny to watch Tammy’s adorable freakout and to be there for the moment she first opened the door to her new home.
