When the Legge family lost their precious youngest child, a beautiful little girl named Evelyn, they were absolutely devastated. Evelyn was only 10 months old when she suddenly and mysteriously contracted a rare, infectious disease and passed away.

This past July– on what would have been Evelyn’s 3rd birthday– her parents, Beth and Adam, were driving home from a family celebration of Evelyn’s life at Coney Island when they got a text that stopped them in tracks: Are you interested in adopting? A baby boy named Elijah was in need of a home, and a friend wanted to pass their family’s name along to be considered.
Beth and Adam were torn. They had talked about adoption, but they weren’t clear on whether or not it was right for their family. They moved forward and prepared to meet the baby… and that’s when miraculous signs began to appear.
