Weddings are always an occasion to look forward to, but things don’t always go as planned. Sometimes incredible things happen, like celebrities crashing your photos. But a lot of times it’s the littlest ones in the ceremony who have everyone rolling in laughter. This time around, the star is a French bulldog named George, who came to the rescue of his owners.

On Tuesday, moments before Laura and James Russell were to be pronounced man and wife, James’ reached out to his best man for their rings. But when he couldn’t find them, he suddenly sprinted out the back door. It appeared to everyone that the best man had ‘forgotten’ the wedding bands.
But then a video started to play.

The bride and groom watched as the best man’s calls George, pleading for help. The loyal pooch reaches for the rings (that had been left on the bedside table), and rushes to the church.
The rest of the hilarious video shows George stopping at the front door when he realizes he’s not dressed properly.

After running back home and putting on a tux, George absolutely saves the day and makes it to the ceremony with the rings in tow.
The best part is that the bride and groom were the ones who set it up. George is like a child to them and they wanted to find a way to incorporate him into the ceremony. They managed to keep it a secret from everyone but their maid of honor and best man, so the whole production was a surprise to everyone who attended!
