Family Drives Over 1,000 Miles To Bring Stolen Dog Home After 6 Yrs.

Six years ago, a little Chihuahua mix named King was playing in his backyard in Texas when someone snatched him up and took him with them.

The experience crushed his family, but despite how long it has been, they didn’t hesitate to drive 20 hours across the country to pick him up!

Debra Vasquez and her family were thrilled when they got a call from a humane society in Miami, Florida, letting them know that someone had surrendered a dog that seemed to belong to them.

They had understandably given up hope that they would ever find King after so many years. They eventually brought a new dog into their family to fill the hole he had left, but nothing could ever make them forget King.

Sadly, that new pup passed away not long before King was found, but the family believes it was all part of a bigger plan. “We are thinking maybe the dog that passed away brought [King] to us,” Debra explained.

Despite the 1,000 miles separating them, the Vasquez family didn’t hesitate to make the trip to bring him home!

After reuniting with their long-lost pup, they loaded back into the car with King in tow and made the 20-hour trek back home to Texas.

Their willingness to stop at nothing to bring their dog home is such a sweet reminder of the love we have for our pets! Congratulations on being together again, Vasquez family!
