Nora the Polar Bear was born last November 6th to her parents Nanuq and Aurora at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio. Three days ago, zoo staff posted an adorable time-lapse video spanning her first 83 days of life.
The incredibly cuddly little bear has stolen 4 million hearts and counting… so much so that her name was voted on and chosen by over 90,000 adoring fans though an online poll.
Nora now weighs in at a healthy 18 lbs and is growing fast! She’s learning to run on all fours and is learning to swim, but even though she’s doing well, Nora won’t go on display until she’s good and ready.
Zoo’s play an incredibly important part in wildlife conservation. They give us glimpses into a world most of us would never know, and provide safe haven for animals who would have non otherwise.
