Official 11-Year Time Lapse Of One World Trade Center Being Built Is Incredible.

One World Trade Center was built to replace the Twin Towers that were destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.  The project began in 2004, almost three years after the attack.

In honor of the opening of One World Observatory in New York City, EarthCam posted this dramatic time lapse of One World Trade Center being built over 11 long years – from October 2004 to Memorial Day 2015.

The construction cameras captured hundreds of thousands of high definition images and their creative team hand-edited the footage to create this exclusive video.
