She Weighed Herself And Was Devastated, But This Husband’s Poetic Response Is Lighting Up The Internet!

The inner thoughts of a person’s mind is often a tumultuous battle ground for self worth. One little thought or comment can send you on a downward spiral of thinking you are undesirable and worthless.

For the most part, media these days only furthers this harmful cycle of self-doubt. But, believe it or not, one man is trying to use the power of poetry and media to make a difference.

His name is Khari Toure, and he’s the world-renowned spoken word poet and author of “Curvy and Confident,” a self-empowerment guide for women. In conjunction with this groundbreaking novel, Khari released the music video below which is based off his poem “Through Thick and Thin.”

While this video and poem are amazing, we are most inspired by Khari’s response as a loving husband. He truly wants his wife to see his love for her is not dependent on her image in the slightest, but rather it is founded within and is unchanging.

Check out these powerful lines from his poem and watch the video below:

“Even though you’ve gained some weight
I’ll set set the record straight,
True love keeps no record of weight.
I’ll love you through thick and thin
My love will never change
Through your losses and your weight gains
So even if you lose some pounds
I’ll always be around
My love for you will always be the same.”

Never forget how valued you are!
