You’ve heard of Peyton Manning, right? He’s a star quarterback, philanthropist, and actual real-life friend of Brad Paisley. While he’s best known for football, he’s also made a name for himself through his silly sense of humor.
Like many of us, Manning has been quarantined because of COVID-19, so he’s doing everything he can to lift other people’s spirits. Recently, he set his sights on his alma mater, the University of Tennessee.

Everyone at the University of Tennessee Knoxville has moved from in-person to online courses, where they’re still able to meet with their professors and classmates through video calls.
With all the freedom online lectures offer, Dr. John Haas does not tolerate tardiness. He made that perfectly clear in a recent meeting when he scolded someone for showing up late. Only everyone quickly realized that “student” was Peyton Manning!

After getting called out in front of the entire class (which must have been so embarrassing), Manning apologized, saying, “I’m sorry, Dr. Haas, it’s been awhile. It’s been at least since 1996-97 since I’ve been in class.”
Of course, his peers didn’t mind the disturbance one bit! They just sat there in shock and laughed at the appearance of the pro athlete.
Then Peyton took the opportunity to encourage them and provide a little inspiration to help them through this difficult time.
