8-Yr-Old Upset When Friend Is Denied Hot Lunch, So He Takes Matters Into His Own Hands.

Eight-year-old Cayden Taipalus is only a third grader. He goes to school at Challenger Elementary in Howell, Michigan. One day Cayden was in line for lunch with a friend when something happened that bothered him deeply. While in line Cayden noticed that his friend was denied a hot lunch because he didn’t have enough money in his account.

Cayden went home and told his mother that he didn’t think it was fair that some students couldn’t get hot lunches because they didn’t have enough money. He wanted to do something about it, but he had no idea how big of an impact he would make.

With the help of his mom, Cayden launched a fundraising campaign called “Pay It Forward: No Kids Goes Hungry”with a website to raise donations for kid’s lunches. Cayden reached out to friends and family in the community to help his friends and he even went out to collect recycling on his own for some additional funds.
