Powerful Photo Shows Cop Cradling Mom’s Baby While She Reports Abuse.

Filing a domestic violence report is never easy, and those that do so can use all of the support they can get.

For this woman, going to a police station to file a report was something she couldn’t do without bringing her children. In other words, she could expect to spend hours speaking with a victim advocate and filling out paperwork, all while taking care of her three young children – or so she thought.

When she arrived at West Jordan Police Department in Utah, Officer Robert Lofgran was happy to help. Without being asked, he offered to watch over her little ones so she could focus on doing what she needed to do to keep each of them safe. When nearby record clerks took notice, they took photos of Robert holding the woman’s baby. The photos were posted to Facebook, garnering lots of attention and praise for this kind officer.

“It was super hard for this woman to come into the police station,” Sgt. J.C. Holt said. “Her children were all under the age of 5 and we admire her courage. If you need help, come in, involve us and give us a chance to help you.”

Watch Officer Lofgran go above and beyond in the video below, and don’t forget to share.
