When you live in Florida, you must be prepared for almost anything to happen. There might be an alligator knocking on your back door one day. Or maybe an alligator decided he wanted some python-skin boots at the mall. A hurricane might blow through and flood the streets. You could witness an extraordinary number of manatees hanging out in your favorite state park. And sometimes, you find a snake sunning itself on your front porch when you get home.
When I first saw this snake, I thought her older brother might be playing a prank with a rubber snake. Then I saw the snake move, and I might have screamed with the young lady. She ran to the porch without a care, ready to get home after a busy day. When she got parallel to the snake, it moved. That girl showed us a great impression of “turning on a dime” as she hopped back off the porch, running and screaming.
If you’re unfamiliar with our comparison to Kevin McCallister, he is the child character in the “Home Alone” movie franchise. Actor Macaulay Culkin spent much of the movie screaming. You can compare our young lady to Kevin below.
If you can’t tackle real snakes, you can always travel to Disneyworld to wrestle with the animatronic snakes on the Indiana Jones Adventure ride. When we say you can see everything in Florida, we mean it. They even have dragons flying over the theme parks in Orlando! If you don’t like animals, do not visit Florida. However, you will never run out of things to do and see if you like animals.
Please share if this snake on the porch made you channel Kevin McCallister.
