Everyone should go to Disneyland or Disneyworld at least once. Sadly, that isn’t always possible. For a single mom who had never taken a vacation, her first time at Disneyland was a gift from her son and his girlfriend. Together for ten years, the duo took their moms on this “once in a lifetime” vacation. Micaela spent her younger years raising her two sons and sacrificing to give them a good life.
Micaela’s son’s girlfriend described her reaction to everything as ” truly like seeing Disneyland through the eyes of a child.” The pair scheduled a three-day trip for their moms and used every bit of it to let them be kids again! They plan a second trip when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens, and Space Mountain reopens. They might also try to schedule a longer trip to Florida to visit Disneyworld. The first amusement ride Micaela enjoyed was the Indiana Jones Adventure. She was slightly nervous.
If you’ve been to a Disney park, you know that animatronics and jump scares play a big role in many rides. When a huge snake jumped at them, they had to remind Micaela that they were animatronics and wouldn’t hurt her. The moms rode all the spinning rides and rollercoasters and ate all the food during their excursion.
For her first time at Disneyland, Micaela got to experience the entire dream that is Disney magic. At the end of the video chronicling their trip, the kids said to take your mom to Disneyland. Judging by the smiles and laughter, both moms seem to have had an amazing time. The vacation gave Micaela and her son time to bond. You’re never too old to be a kid again!
