“Talking” Cat Prescribes Catnip For Mom’s Migraine In Amazing Footage.

Jessie's cat, Roscoe, looks up at mom who can't be seen in this image. He's stepping on one of his buttons used to "talk" to her as he prescribes her catnip for her migraine.

If you’ve ever had a migraine, then you know how debilitating they can become. Jessie Massoudi, who has pseudotumor cerebri, understands this well. Still, even she was shocked by the severity of a recent episode that took place at 5 a.m. — all she could do was sob on the couch and rest her head in her hands. This kept her up all night and, at one point, she considered going to the emergency room.

There’s footage capturing this night and, in it, Jessie’s cat, Roscoe, is quick to notice his mom isn’t feeling well. He chooses to stay by her side to keep her company, making sure she is okay. In fact, this clever little cat even prescribes catnip for her migraine.

It all starts when Roscoe tries to communicate with Jessie using buttons — this has become quite a popular device for owners of both cats and dogs. Eventually, the sweet feline chooses the button “head” to which mom replies “yes.”

From there, Roscoe chooses “head” again but, this time, he adds “catnip,” too. At first, Jessie thinks this means that he wants catnip for himself. But once she gets him some, he refuses to eat it.

Instead, he sniffs at the catnip, then heads right back over to the buttons. Finally, he starts to reiterate his point with “head” and “catnip,” looking back and forth between Jessie and her untouched catnip.

“I can be a bit slow sometimes, and didn’t realize that he was suggesting I have catnip to help my head,” Jessie wrote. “His companionship was the best medicine though, and cheered me up!”

Although Jessie ended up taking human medicine instead, Roscoe’s way of helping her was not only impressive but incredible heartwarming!

@roscoesqueaks He wanted to help me 🥺 I get migraines often because I have pseudotumor cerebri, but this one was bad enough that I considered going to the er. Roscoe was worried about me, and stayed with me the whole time. I can be a bit slow sometimes, and didn’t realize that he was suggesting I have catnip to help my head. His companionship was the best medicine though, and cheered me up! Apologies for my mumbling… migraines are the worst. #cat #catsoftiktok #fyp #fluentpet #theycantalk #fluentpetbuttons #hunger4words #catbuttons #talkingcat #aic #cattok ♬ original sound – Roscoe
