Horses may tend to be overly cautious in some situations. That cautiousness is what prompts desensitization training. However, once a horse feels secure in a situation, they become very curious. This curiosity might not be as bad as the cat’s, but it can create some hilarious moments. It might also lead to a horse making a new friend.

Unable to keep his mind on the task at hand, which is dressage practice, this horse is enamored with a tiny jumping bean. It is actually a little frog. The horse is intent on making the little fellow its new friend. The large animal followed the tiny frog around the practice arena.
No one knows what the horse would have done if his little friend turned and jumped onto his leg. He might have jumped in surprise. Or he may just have sniffed it and kept walking. The horse became curious about his little friend after he determined that the frog posed no threat.

In a perfect demonstration of their natural curiosity, a new father introduces his baby to his horses. You can see the mare showing an immediate interest in the tiny human. She moves slowly and gently. As she is examining the baby, the man is surprised that his stallion also comes over to investigate. The stallion was also very gentle, allowing the baby to touch his muzzle with dad’s help.
After seeing something in its owner’s hand, this horse came to investigate. It took zero seconds for the horse to realize this was a new friend. He took the new friend in his mouth immediately and began making it squeak annoyingly.
