Imagine walking around covered in fur on a blistering hot day. Jumping into the water must feel amazing, right? A bear in California certainly seems to agree. A family captured video of the bear in their swimming pool, enjoying not only the water but also the other amenities the family provided. In a hilarious video uploaded to Instagram, we see the large black bear lounging in the water, but it’s what it has in its hands that takes the cake.

The Bear Played Mermaids in the Swimming Pool
A little girl stands at the window, shocked to see the big black bear playing with her mermaid dolls in the pool. It seems totally unbothered by the fact that the family is watching and goes on about its business, having a grand old time. The only thing that could have made this clip better would have been “Under the Sea” playing in the background. Plenty of people in the comment section agreed and made lots of silly mermaid jokes.

Some people didn’t even realize it was a bear in a swimming pool until they watched it a few times.
