Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs showed his appreciation for a pint-sized fan when he noticed the boy’s sign, which read “All I Want For Christmas is to Play Catch with DIGGS.”
Stefon was preparing for his match-up with the Detroit Lions at Ford Field when he spotted the sign hanging from the bleachers. A blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy donning his best Bills attire was excitedly presenting it to the players. It caught the WR’s eye, so he walked right over to grant the holiday wish.
A video of the sweet gesture shows Stefon Diggs approaching the star-struck kid. The boy’s parents scream with glee and help lower him into Stefon’s arms. The football player drops him on the field and walks away, and the boy freezes, not knowing what to do next. Stefon runs to the 40-yard line and signals his fan to follow.
The boy dashes out to mid-field, and Stefon throws his best pass—and the boy catches it! The kid throws one right back, and it sails into the NFL star’s hands. Stefon gives the boy a high-five, and as the kid makes his way back to his parents, his face beams as though he’s the happiest person alive.
Following the touching moment, Stefon Diggs went on to help the Bills defeat the Lions 28-25.
