Keanu Reeves’ Mom Designed Dolly Parton’s Iconic ‘Playboy’ Cover Outfit.

Dolly Parton Keanu Reeves

It turns out that Keanu Reeves and Dolly Parton have a fun connection. Keanu’s mother used to be one of Dolly’s clothing designers, and she created the singer’s iconic Playboy cover outfit.

While visiting the Drew Barrymore Show, the Jolene songstress recalled working with Keanu’s mom, Patricia Taylor. She explained that Patricia was the brains behind many of her legendary looks. And a young Keanu would hang around while his mom and Dolly would work.

“I remember Keanu when he was just little,” she continued. “And she would bring him over to my house when we were fitting or when I would go to the shop where she worked.”

Dolly didn’t realize that that small boy was Keanu until years later when he visited her backstage as she was “doing a show somewhere.”

“He said, ‘Do you remember me? I’m the little boy that used to sit at your feet when my mom was [working]’,” she remembered. “Of course, I knew he had become a star but it didn’t connect to me that that was who that was.”

Keanu Reeves Donned Dolly Parton’s ‘Playboy’ Attire As a Halloween Costume

Interestingly, Keanu Reeves and Dolly Parton are also directly connected by the Playboy outfit, too. As in, they both wore it.

Keanu admitted during an episode of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk in 2021 that he once wore the outfit as a Halloween costume. He also admitted that it was his favorite costume to date.

According to him, Dolly didn’t take the outfit home after posing in it. So, it was just lying around his house, and he decided to put it to use.

“So I put on the ears and the bustier,” he explained. “I wore sneakers with fishnet stockings and the bowtie. I had some pretty long hair. And I was Dolly Parton’s Playboy Bunny.”
