They say you should never meet your idols, but this kid’s dream just totally came true!
A group of children gathered around 23-year-old basketball player, Tyler Herro. Tyler is a shooting guard for the Miami Heat, and an icon to these young kids.
Despite the crowd of kids present, this one young fan needed to get Tyler’s attention. He grabbed his water bottle, shouting “Sign my water bottle!” multiple times.
All the adults in the area broke out in laughter, including Tyler. Sometimes, you’ve got to be assertive to get what you want!
Tyler signs the water bottle and hands it back with a smile. The young fan can be seen jumping, grinning, and hollering with glee as he accepts his signed bottle back.
This fan’s approach to meeting Tyler took the Internet by storm.
One commenter said, “Bet lil’ bro made Tyler’s day too!”
“Remember these athletes were that little boy once upon a time,” commented another.
It’s amazing the way that fandom to stardom comes full circle. Just 13 years ago, Tyler was around the age of the kids in the clip!
