Levi McConaughey, who just turned 15, took to his new Instagram account to celebrate his dad Matthew’s birthday. He wrote the sweetest caption to accompany the photo.
Jennifer Hudson pulled up the post on an episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show and asked Matthew McConaughey to read his son’s kind words!
“People know Matthew McConaughey as an actor and now a writer,” Matthew began. “But I know him as my father. The man who always makes time for us no matter what, the man who’s always there for us no matter what, and the man who taught me to appreciate the journey and not just the destination. The journey’s just getting started… Happy birthday, Papa.”

Matthew clearly appreciated his son’s kind words and explained the power of that sort of gesture as proving that his parenting is working.
