Whether you love or hate it, social media is here to stay. Billions of people use it every day to keep themselves informed about the world around them and, of course, for entertainment. TikTok is an app that can be highly polarizing but also offers lots of fun. TikTok dance trends have helped launch the careers of budding musicians and revived old hits. Just before her death at the age of 87 in July, Connie Francis enjoyed the resurgence of her song “Pretty Little Flowers” thanks to TikTok. But it’s not just Connie, an old Tim McGraw hit is back, and we’re here for it.

Tim McGraw’s Music Is Timeless
In 1999, Tim McGraw’s hit song Something Like That was everywhere. All we have to think about is a barbecue stain on a white T-shirt, and we are back in those carefree summer days. TikTokers agree and recently began using Tim’s son in hundreds of thousands of videos. According to Parade, the song is so popular that it now ranks 15th among the top 50 songs on TikTok. The song went particularly viral at the beginning of September when thousands of 17-year-olds got a “Coke and some gasoline” and posted their videos online.
Tim McGraw got in on the action and shared a cute video captioned, “Always love seeing everyone’s Labor Day weekend videos!! 2008 crew, it’s your time to shine!!!”
Tim’s video brought out all the feels for many fans.
“One day you’re a teen listening to this song, the next you have a 17 year old & it’s Labor Day weekend,” a fan shared.
Seeing Tim hop on the trend made lots of fans smile.
“Yassss this is needed! Tim McGraw has arrived in the chat,” one wrote.
Once a Tim McGraw fan, always a fan.
“I went to your concert when this song came out! I loved every minute!!”
