Giada De Laurentiis Thanks Fans Following “DWTS” Elimination

Giada De Laurentiis and Alan Bernsten were eliminated from the second week of “Dancing with the Stars” Season 35 on September 22, 2026. The couple, who had the lowest score of the evening, looked visibly disappointed during the elimination. Giada told hosts Julieanne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro that she decided to do the show at the behest of her daughter and wanted to make her proud. Following Tuesday night’s show, many moms took to social media to show Giada De Laurentiis support. They loved seeing her get out of her comfort zone in the kitchen and try something totally different.

​Giada De Laurentiis checked in with her fans on Instagram on Wednesday morning.

​“I’m honored to represent women in their fifties in trying something new,” she said and encouraged others to do the same. “Try something that scares you, because honestly, guys, it is a rush.”

​Fans thank Giada for her bravery and for encouraging them to try something new.

​“I’’m sad your experience was shorter lived than anticipated but you should be so proud of yourself. thank you for being a great partner to alan as well,” one fan wrote.

​This mom agreed, writing, “I’m also in my 50s and take professional ballroom dance lessons every week, and it has changed my life! Loved seeing you on the show.”

​Giada De Laurentiis also shared a shoutout to her partner, Alan Bernsten. “You are such a loving partner,” she said. “Truly, so patient and helped me get really determined. So, it was really great.”

​Giada may have only spent two weeks on “DWTS,” but it’s clear the journey changed her in a beautiful way.
