The 30-year-old actress, who was born with a genetic eye condition called achromatopsia, is legally blind. Still, in her first audition, she secured the role of Marie-Laure in the TV mini series All the Light We Cannot See. It’s based on a novel by Anthony Doerr and focuses on what happens when a blind, French teenager crosses paths with a German soldier in occupied France.

As you can see, Miss Ingrid looks stunning with her pearl necklaces. It’s an understated look, but she wears it well. Then there’s Loberti, of course, who looks absolutely stunning in a simple black, high-slit dress.

As fun as it is to discuss what the stars are wearing, what made this moment truly special is Loberti getting the chance to highlight was an incredible win it is for the blind community to see someone like her getting these types of opportunities.

“This is the first time in history we’ve had authentic representation for a character in a film of this size,” Loberti says. “It was my honor to represent my community and my culture. It’s never been done before, and that’s a really big responsibility.”

There’s no doubt that there are countless folks cheering Loberti on as she continues to make history!
