Lia Oliveira and her baby’s father couldn’t wait to see their baby girl but never expected what happened during their recent ultrasound. According to Fox News, when the baby’s dad kissed her mom’s belly and spoke to his unborn child, the baby smiled.

“I was completely overwhelmed with emotion and immediately started crying happy tears,” Lia said.

For those who can’t believe the baby smiled during the ultrasound, the family captured the moment on video. The dad very sweetly places his face on the growing belly and softly speaks to the baby, who smiles not once, but twice. It’s very clear that her daddy’s voice soothed her and made her feel safe. The video went viral and touched the hearts of millions of people. Per Fox News, Lia called the moment a “core memory” that she will never forget.
“That’s amazing! My daughter used to play Rihanna’s Take a Bow when she was pregnant with my grandson. If he was fussy, it would calm him in the middle of the night. When he was born, it would immediately calm him. Full force crying, and he would stop the minute it played,” someone commented.
Other parents shared their own miraculous stories, like this mom.
“We did this with our daughter. My husband talked to her every night and called her by her given name that was my beloved grandmothers name. When she was born she was emergency cesarean and an Apgar rating of 5. The pediatrician told my husband to start talking to her, and she responded and turned her head towards him and she began to improve when he called her by her name. It was just what her pediatrician wanted,” she wrote.
