Ms. Rachel is moving beyond social media to connect with young fans by releasing her first children’s book.
The YouTube and TikTok star announced her new project on March 5. The picture book called Ms. Rachel and the Special Surprise!: Encouraging Speech and Learning Through Play and Music will help “encourage speech and 20 milestones, all through a playful story.”
Ms. Rachel has been helping children with speech delays through videos on her social media platforms where she has earned millions of followers since beginning in 2019. She started her channels as a way to help her son, who had difficulty speaking.
“It is truly a privilege to be able to teach and connect with children not just through YouTube but also through books and the enduring magic of storytime,” the social media star, 41, said in a press release.
The cover art teases that Ms. Rachel will be the main character of the children’s book. It shows a cartoon version of her wearing her signature jean overalls, pink shirt, and pink headband.
The pages will teach readers call-and-response exercises and will showcase popular characters from her videos.
“Ms. Rachel’s debut into the world of publishing is magical,” Random House Books President and Publisher Barbara Marcus said. “She has captivated the hearts of children far and wide with her original songs and stories, including my grandson. And we are thrilled to support Ms. Rachel’s new world of imagination and joy for years to come.”
Ms. Rachel and the Special Surprise!: Encouraging Speech and Learning Through Play and Music drops on September 24, 2024.
