Last week, Miami-based singer Yoli Mayor unveiled a big secret she’d been keeping from her fans… she just auditioned on America’s Got Talent!

Even though she’s only 21 years old, Yoli showed no sign of fear or nervousness when she took the AGT stage. She is, after all, a seasoned vocalist for her young age, having sung since age 2.

However, just seconds after starting her cover of the 1950’s tune “I Put A Spell on You,” she was given a shock that no doubt tested her confidence: Simon cut her off.

Yoli offers up Ed Sheeran’s “Make It Rain,” a much newer, younger song.
Simon is happy with the choice, but then new host Tyra Banks runs out onstage to help Yoli out even more. She grabs her jewelry, takes away her big shoes, and tousles her hair.
“Keep it young,” she says, encouraging Yoli to just be herself, instead of hiding behind an act.

Not only did Yoli get 4 yes’s, people are now calling her “the Cuban Adele.”
