Dolly Parton Shares Positive Health Update After Missing Dollywood Event

Dolly Parton was set to appear in person at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on August 14, 2026, for the premiere of the park’s newest ride, NightFlight Expedition. Sadly, for fans and for Dolly, her doctors advised her not to travel amid recent health struggles. Dolly Parton explained in a video shared by a fan on social media that she was sorry, but that she was still in Nashville and not at Dollywood like she’d hoped.

“I’ve told you before, all my fans, that I’ve had a few little health issues and sometimes I get a little dizzy and I get dehydrated. And I’m dehydrated,” Dolly said. “So my Nashville doctor has kind of clipped my wings, saying, ‘You ain’t traveling this week.’ So I guess if your doctor tells you, ‘You ain’t traveling this week,’ you ain’t traveling this week.”

Dolly Parton is often seen at Dollywood for opening day each year and for other special events. We’re sure she missed this special day. According to the park’s website, NightFlight Expedition is like nothing anyone’s ever seen before.

Hopefully Dolly Parton will be fully healed soon and can visit Dollywood and fans in person once again.
