Everyone needs a little push every now and then to get where they’re going – sometimes literally! A few years back, local firefighters were called out to the Woodlands Golf Course in Sunriver, Oregon, where a deer was trapped smack dab in the middle of a frozen pond.
The poor thing tried its best to escape, but its hooves were no match for the icy surface. Luckily, the firefighters came prepared with an ice rescue sled! Slowly but surely, one of the men gently nudged the critter all the way to dry land, where it only needed a little encouragement (and some head pets) to go on its way.
