For more than 40 years, Vanna White has been a fixture on Wheel of Fortune. She’s as iconic as the puzzles contestants solve, from her fabulous evening gowns to turning the letters and witty banter with the hosts. During her tenure, Vanna has certainly seen some things. The show celebrated 50 years on January 6, and Vanna White admitted that there had been a missolve or two that made her laugh.

In 2019, she told People, “Half of the time, I don’t think they even realize what they’re saying.”

She told People, “I feel for our contestants because they’re so nervous.”
Recently, there have been some doozies on the show. Contestants made honest mistakes that turned into viral memes, like the contestants who guessed New York Cheesesteak instead of New York Cheesecake. Another guest yelled out “Chocolates, Chestnuts, and Chickens” instead of “Chocolates, Chestnuts, and Chimneys” during a Christmas episode.
Vanna White also chuckled to a rather risqué classic missolve. “And then there was a famous one where the answer was ‘Gone With the Wind,’ and the answer the contestant gave was ‘Done With One Hand.'”
Vanna shared her favorite blooper. “We had a puzzle where the answer was ‘Streetcar Named Desire’,” she said. “And only the ‘m’ was missing.” She added with a laugh, “The contestant answered, ‘Streetcar Naked Desire!'”
Even though longtime host Pat Sajak retired in 2024, Vanna has no plans to leave Wheel of Fortune just yet. She and host Ryan Seacrest seem to be getting along great. He recently posted an Instagram video of the pair captioned, “We’re looking forward to a new year.”
This fan can’t wait, “Ya know, I wasn’t going to watch Wheel after Pat left because I wasn’t sure if I’d like Ryan as host. I was never a fan. I could be a total fool misjudging but I truly think this man is genuine and brings more to the show. He and Vanna are a great team!”
