“Us The Duo’s” Sing Sweetest Love Song To Unborn Daughter On AGT.

Married musicians Michael and Carissa Alvarado have been making music together for years. But earlier this year, they outdid themselves by creating a sound that only comes around once in a lifetime: Their daughterā€™s heartbeat.

The husband-and-wife folk music artists, operating as ā€œUs The Duo,ā€joined forces in 2011, started touring together and even signed with a record label a little more than four years ago. Theyā€™ve been married since 2012 and in April, this adorable couple announced they were expecting by (how else?) singing about it on YouTube:

Weā€™re having a baby!
Two lines on a test can only mean yes
To a human thatā€™s soon to be ours
Weā€™re having a baby!

Their baby girl is due in October, so you’d think Carissa would be spending a lot of time at home with her feet propped up, drinking chamomile tea and listening to Yanni or something. But oh no, she and Michael held court during Tuesday’s quarterfinals on “America’s Got Talent,” singing a catchy tune that the duo wrote for, and dedicated to, their little bundle of joy.

Michael provided some context ahead of the performance, telling the judges:

The song talks about me wanting the baby to be just like her because I know as soon as I hold the baby in my arms and Iā€™m going to look into her eyes and fall in love with her just like I did with her mama.

And the lyrics definitely showcase that love:

We hope she has her mama’s smile
I hope she’s beautiful like you
‘Cause if she’s anything like her mama
I’ll fall in love with her just like I did with you

It’s such a catchy tune, the judges couldn’t stop from tapping their own fingers and toes!

Just hours later, still glowing in the wake of their performance, they even tweeted out this little message to their little one (although it’ll be a few years before she’s able to read it!):

Listen to the whole song in the video below and don’t be surprised if your own foot starts bouncing, the energy’s that contagious!

Share to spread congratulations to Michael and Carissa and wish them the best.
