Swifties, today is for you. On September 23, 2026, Taylor Swift officially announced new music. After a few teases in the last couple of days, the official announcement came bright and early on Wednesday morning.

“About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history. I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really, we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there, and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs. I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made,” Taylor wrote on social media.

Of course, we all know she married the love of her life on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Love has always been a theme in Taylor Swift’s music, so we’re sure to hear more about that on her new album “Encore.” Fans have so many theories about what will appear on the album and can’t wait for the drop.
“Yesterday was one song….today it’s four…can it be possible tomorrow will be more, then Friday it’s an album,” a fan wrote.
