Ella Langley officially dethroned Mariah Carey. The country singer’s hit song, “Choosin’ Texas,” is No. 1 on The Billboard Hot 100 for the 23rd consecutive week. The song topped Mariah’s “All I Want for Christmas,” which held the record for 22 weeks at No. 1. Ella dropped the single in November 2025 and has had great success since.

“It feels surreal,” Ella Langley told Billboard earlier in 2026. “I think this has been the biggest moment for me, where I’ve seen where fans can change your career. For so long, you’re like, ‘Alright, one song at a time, one record at a time.’ But with this one song — and they’ve done it continuously for me — but really with ‘Choosin’ Texas’ … man, have they taken ahold of it. It’s wild.”

Ella Langley is the first artist in history to have a No. 1 song for 23 weeks in a row, which is truly an incredible feat. She posted about her big moment on Instagram, and fans immediately cheered her on.
“No literally it’s one I never stop playing – you’re the queeen,” a comment reads.
Fans who’ve been in Ella’s corner for years knew this moment would come.
