The popular TV show Britain’s Got Talent has introduced the world to some amazing artists and incredible performances. Remember this nervous pianist who blew the judges away with a surprising audience flash mob? How about this unique 57-girl choir whose Irish song and mesmerizing choreography had jaws dropping? But the most note-worthy audition in Britain’s Got Talent history has to go to singer Susan Boyle.

Back in 2009, the unassuming singer auditioned for the show with “I Dreamed A Dream” from Les Miserables. The judges weren’t expecting much from the then-48-year-old Scottish singer, but her voice earned her a standing ovation and instant international fame.

After the show, Susan’s fame continued to grow, as did her success as a vocalist. In the video below, the powerful mezzo-soprano is on Larry King, ending the show with an incredible rendition of the classic Christmas hymn, “O Holy Night.”

“O Holy Night” has been covered many times– including by this phenomenal women’s a capella group— but Susan’s performance is true to the songwriter’s original intent. Simple, pure, and breathtakingly beautiful. And the angelic children’s choir behind her will give you chills!

Check out Susan Boyle’s amazing rendition of the epic hymn below.
