TikTok user Shelly.TGeo and her husband have a houseful of animals. The horse has a quirky personality, too. The large beast has realized that he can get sweet treats if he shakes his booty a bit. While that might sound a bit risqué, it’s really rather genius. The family has a persimmon tree in their yard. The tree produces sweet, plump, squishy fruits that the horse loves. He discovered that if he shakes the tree with his rump, the fruit falls onto the ground, where he can eat it.

Watching the horse using his nether region to rustle up some grub is fun to see. At first, you might think he is scratching an itch. After watching the repeated activity, the horse will take a break and immediately begin “harvesting” the fruits of his labor.

Persimmons originated in Asia, and there are two types common in North America: Fuyu and Hachiya. The trees are mostly found in the southern states, but some are also found as far north as Maryland. The fruit, when ripe, is sweet and can be used in baking or eaten in salads.

The fruit’s sweet taste is what attracts the horse’s appetite. As long as it isn’t overindulging, no harm should come to him for his booty-shaking habit.
