Savannah Guthrie shocked fans when she said she’d be taking a leave from the Today Show due to a medical issue. Savannah explained that vocal nodules have been causing problems that made her sound a bit like “Peter Brady,” and the only solution was surgery.

“Well, I have found out what it is. I have vocal nodules, and now I also have a polyp. It’s not a big, big deal, but I am going to have a surgery real early in the new year and be off for a couple of weeks. So it’s my last day for a little while,” Savannah explained during a December episode of Today.”
Thankfully, it appears doctors successfully performed the surgery, and Savannah is healing.
Savannah Guthrie Shared a Sweet Message on Instagram
Savannah Guthrie explained that her recovery meant complete vocal rest. To let fans know she’s well, Savannah posted a photo on Instagram holding a white board that reads, “All good! Thanks for prayer and love.”
Savannah looked happy and healthy and told fans she’ll, “See you soon!” in the caption.
Fans loved seeing Savannah’s smiling face.
“So happy to hear all went well! Sending healing vibes, a fan wrote.
So many agreed like this person, “Glad to hear! Praying for a good recovery!”
And this one who wrote, “Wonderful news!!! I’m praying for you and wishing you well and a speedy recovery!!!”
Of course, some fans couldn’t help but offer Savannah Guthrie a bit of advice during her recovery.
“Take care & be QUIET!” Someone demanded.
We’re so glad Savannah Guthrie had a successful surgery. Now here’s hoping she gets plenty of rest and spends his days quietly binging her favorite shows and books.
