Dancing with the Stars icon Derek Hough has a new partner to glide across the dance floor with. His wife, Hayley Erbert Hough, gave birth to their first child on December 29. Derek announced the baby’s birth with a sweet Instagram post. The black-and-white photo shows the proud mom and dad softly cradling their baby’s feet.

“December 29, 2025, Everley Capri Hough,” Derek wrote. “Every step of our lives has led us to you. Our hearts have been cracked wide open, and our world is forever changed.”

Derek Hough shared a video with clips from 2025, but left out his baby girl’s birth.
“Happy NewYear ! Just a few clips from 2025 , the year I turned 40. A landmark year filled with joy, adventure, love, and more change than I could ever fit into one recap. There was so much more that happened, but these moments capture a feeling,” Derek wrote. “And now… 2026. A year of true transformation. A year where the heart cracks open and love pours in, in entirely new ways.”
Fans loved seeing Derek Hough’s baby announcement and shared well-wishes with the new mom and dad.
“I’ve been eagerly waiting for this post!! Congratulations! So happy for you all,” a fan wrote.
“The beautiful gift at the end of your rainbows- Everley Capri Hough – Welcome to the world magnificent little lady!! Your Mommy & Daddy will give you the most love ever!!!
