For as long as I can remember, my favorite kind of songs have been the ones that truly tell a story through the lyrics and the emotions conveyed by the singer. This sentiment is one that Reba shared after two of the singers on her “Voice” team went head-to-head during the battle portion of the show. She challenged Alison Albrecht and Angelina Nazarian with singing “You Say” by Lauren Daigle.
According to Niall Horan, this song is quite the challenge. Still, these talented performers managed to pull off an incredible performance. They both captured the audience’s attention from the start with their equally powerful yet distinctly unique voices. This song has particularly challenging notes, but they hit many of them with ease.
“Emotion, to me, means a lot,” Reba said. “If you can’t portray an emotion to your audience, it’s [just] a song.”
While they both gave folks goosebumps, ultimately, one of them especially embodied the emotion of the song, helping them stay on Team Reba…
