In June 2021, doctors diagnosed “Married with Children” star Christina Applegate with multiple sclerosis. The disease took a strong hold of the actress, and she ultimately disclosed her diagnosis just two months later. She was filming the final season of her hit Netflix show, “Dead to Me,” and found acting and being on set extremely difficult. Since then, she’s bravely fought MS, including a recent months-long hospital stay. On September 21, 2026, she posted her first video on Instagram since her release.

“Fresh hair color, new weird spot on my cheek haha thank you @davestanwell for brightening up my cloudy day. Love you,” she wrote.
Christina Applegate Fans Loved Her New Look
Christina Applegate looked well in her new video and even had a big smile on her face. Fans shared well wishes for the star, with many giving her credit for constantly showing up and doing the hard things.
“Do you know how difficult it is, how vulnerable she is making herself, exposing all her insecurities to millions? Brave, is an understatement. You are amazing Christina,” a fan wrote.
This person thanked Christina Applegate for being outspoken about her health.
“Of all the MS voices out there, yours resonates the most with me. Dealing with MS, residual breast cancer issues, osteoporosis, menopause – it’s like a daily whack-a-mole of symptoms. Weird cheek spot fits right in. But we get our hair done, get dressed, put on some shoes that are not at all cute but that will allow us to walk at least a little…and carry on,” they wrote.
Other fans just called it like they see it. “Babe, you are the funniest and the hottest. Always have been our royalty.”
