While it’s easy to think Dwan Johnson Young has just been waterskiing her entire life, that isn’t the full story. In fact, Dwan didn’t start her waterskiing journey until she was almost 30 years old.
I don’t know about you, but for me, it’s easy to stop trying new things. At 29, Dwan hopped on a waterski and found her life’s passion. Now she’s the oldest waterskier in the world. How inspiring is that?
Listening to her share about her journey with the sport is even more incredible.
“Waterskiing taught me that when you have a goal, do not give up,” shared the insightful nonagenarian with USA today.
She’s clearly not given up yet and has no intentions of stopping.
“My husband thinks I’m crazy,” Dwan Johnson Young explained. Oh well! Now he’s got a Guinness World Record in his house — surely he’s thrilled! The world’s oldest waterskier is his own beautiful wife!
