Although a brave couple helped save lives by tackling one of the gunman, there was still one woman who was killed: Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a local DJ. In the aftermath of this tragic loss, her family made a GoFundMe for funeral costs — and Taylor Swift donated a substantial amount just hours ago.
Lisa’s family aimed to raise $75,000. But Swift alone gave a generous $100,000. Even after the singer surprised the family with her gift, the donations continue to pour in, making their latest total over $215,000.

“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss,” Swift writes with her two $50,000 donations. “With love, Taylor Swift.”
Like Swift, Lisa was known to have a great love for music. She co-hosted a radio show called Tejano Tuesday, which focused on Hispanic music. She was 43 years old, and she is survived by her two children and husband of 22 years.
“She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many,” Rose Lopez Shaw, the organizer of the GoFundMe writes. “We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her life.”
