It’s been more than 60 years since Barbara first starred in her famed role as Jeannie, a mischievous genie freed by Major Tony Nelson, who later became her husband. Jeannie caused chaos for the major for five seasons before coming to an end. And Barbara etched her name among classic TV royalty.
All these years later, and Barbara Eden is still walking red carpets and greeting fans at events, and she is the absolute vision of health and happiness. On May 4th, the sci-fi-loving actress posted a recent photo of herself with Star Wars icon R2D2 to celebrate the unofficial holiday, “May the fourth be with you.”
“This is a perfect pic for today! R2 is probably my favorite droid of all! I hope everyone has a wonderful day today! May the 4th be with you! -Barbara,” she captioned.
Barbara Eden Embraces Healthy Habits and Positivity
Barbara Eden’s secret fountain of youth is simple—positivity and exercise. According to a 2024 interview with Fox News, she regularly rides a stationary bike or goes for a “brisk” walk and lifts five-pound weights because “they’re good for your bones.”
Along with spending plenty of quality time with her husband of 35 years, Jon Eicholtz, Barbara pairs her workout habits with a positive outlook, and the combo seems to work perfectly.
“I don’t think I want to embrace the bad,” she told Forbes in 2025. “I don’t do that. It’s so much more fun to be on the plus side, you know? The best things happen when you expect it.”
