This year’s Cadbury Bunny might not have long ears and a cotton tail, but he sure is cute! Louie the raccoon took home the 2024 title by winning the most online votes in the brand’s sixth annual competition in March. This means that Louie not only gets a cash prize of $7,000, but he’ll also star in a Cadbury commercial! However, it won’t be this critter’s first time in the limelight.

Louie the raccoon already has quite the following on social media. His adorable antics and little outfits captured the hearts of many long before he was in the running for 2024 Cadbury Bunny. He’s even a skilled painter! Proceeds from his artwork go toward helping other creatures like himself.

This year’s Cadbury Bunny winner has come a long way since he was orphaned in 2021 and rescued by former vet tech Jaime Arslan. Since he couldn’t survive on his own, the woman decided she would take care of the Miami raccoon. She even named him after her late father.

“After my father’s passing, I decided to take my mind off what I was experiencing and learn about wildlife rehabilitation,” Jaime said to USA Today. “It was there I met Louie, and we became inseparable. He wasn’t able to be released back into the wild, so he came to live with me. It happened unexpectedly, and I learned how amazing raccoons are firsthand and wanted to care for more.”
